The Writer’s Process Planner (2021) – On sale now!

My planner for writers, The Writer’s Process Planner, is out for this year. The 2021 version is a printable PDF only, and you can buy it right here! There are two versions, with and without graphics.

Check it out–I’m really pleased with how it came out.

The Writer’s Process Planner is a bujo (bullet journal) -style planner, with all of the monthly and weekly spreads drawn for you. You’ll love the handwritten style, and save so much time not copying those boxes over and over again…

This year’s intro is made for 2021. Who knows what this year will bring? Read it and brainstorm ways to make your writing practice grounded, centered, and in line with your values–no matter what happens.

Call for reader/reviewers/testers!

I am *almost* done with The Writer’s Process Planner (2021) and I am looking for a few writers to try it out for me. I’m taking a page from the knitters and sewing pattern designers I follow and calling this “pattern testing” of sorts…here’s how it works:

The Writer's Process Planner *2021*, written in bold, swoopy font
  1. I send you a copy of The Writer’s Process Planner–keep it! Enjoy!
  2. You try it out by reading through it, maybe printing out a few pages, and filling them in.
  3. You fill out a quick survey giving me feedback within two weeks.
  4. You write an honest review and post it on IG/TW/Facebook/your blog–wherever you like! Tag me or send me the link so I can share it.

That’s it! Basically, I send you a planner, and you give me some feedback and share a post about it somewhere. It’s a win-win: you get a free book, and I get a new set of eyes on my work and a chance to share the planner in action.

Are you interested? Click the button below to take you to the sign-up page. I’ll send out the planner for “testing” mid-October.

Update! Sign-ups for readers & reviewers are closed. Do you want to do this next year? Sign up to my newsletter here to be the first to find out when they open again!

Questions? You can always email me!

Thanks so much, friends.

Free ebooks, news, and is it 2021 yet?

Hello! It’s been an awful long time, and I’ve been tinkering around on my website, and I wanted to let you know about a few things I’ve updated and changed around here.

First things first, I want to say that I am part of the Black Lives Matter movement. Black Lives Matter, now, always, and forever. You are welcome no matter who you are–I want to be inclusive of all races, genders, identities, and creeds. So, welcome! Finding ways to be more inclusive in my business and my work is a big priority of mine, and if you have any ideas or suggestions, please email me at (or come find me on Instagram–I’m @likesoatmeal).

Next, when the global pandemic really started, my life changed, as I’m sure yours did, too. My priorities are different, and I am focusing on my family.

So, I am not going to make another print planner for writers this year–The Writer’s Process Planner is going to be PDF only. I haven’t settled on the final details for what it will look like/when it will be available, but watch this space if you want to know! Or sign up for my newsletter.

Finally, I decided to make all my ebooks free here on my website (you still have to check out, but I won’t collect your email or anything like that) and $.99 on Amazon. When I first made them free, I kind of thought the pandemic would be a six-week thing. Ha. Ha. Ha. Here we are, and I think I will keep them free for the foreseeable future. I’ve talked about this with my publisher, KMR Publishing (who is also one of my best friends), and she is totally on board.

Enjoy! Share with friends! Just please don’t re-publish my work.

I think that’s it for now. Cheers to you all–stay safe and happy writing!
